This story has me hooked, and I'm following it to the end. Great old-school hard-boiled crime that looks a lot like Hammett in the bast way. I imagine there's a way to weave The Red Line and The Judas Plot novellas together to make a novel-length story. Damn, this is good reading.

While The Judas Plot and The Red Line share the same world, I hadn’t thought about weaving them together. That being said, I do have a plan for bringing an old friend into the fray.
It was just one idea to build a 80,000 word novel. You know this world better, so I'll stand back and see what's coming. The Forge City stories do remind me of "The Brass Key."
